I'm guessing guys were saying the same thing back when flashers came out.

This brings up a good point. 46 years ago we went on vacation to tullibee lake in Minnesota where my grandparents lived. Grandpa used a flasher. He was so mad because there was a guy that had a new paper graph finding fish. The guy kept running over spots and took the graph paper and was selling the paper pieces to other fisherman. Grandpa would roll over in his grave if he could right now. How funny @MrGiggles you would bring this type of thing up! Thanks for the memory wakeup.

What if you combine livescope with fisherman who take more than they need?

That's the point. It's the fishermen who are the problem, not the tool.

I've heard that baloney everytime a conversation about forward facing sonar gets started.   There is No comparison whatsoever.

Live sonar not only let's you know that fish are there, it let's you know how interested they are in your bait and your presentation.  Also allows you to follow suspended fish in real time.

Have you ever "ballooned" a school of white bass?    It works like a charm.

For sure, there is no comparison between them.

But compared to what people had at the time, which was practically nothing short of a string and a rock, the innovation is comparable.
