Or it could be the fact that they are 70 plus aged widows who like the occasional fish fillet, but whatever.

They should put that on their sign out front.    "Come pray with us, and adopt a widow." 

The way I was raised, stuff like that is what children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews were for.    They should go visit the ol'gal more often and take her some dang crappie fillets.    

I wouldn't want some old horndog from the church feeding MY granny!

Guess I was raised differently, we just considered it being a good friend/neighbor.  No adoptions or horn dogs required.

My Mother in Law won’t eat anything I offer but she did come over one time with pizza for me.

Church we help each other. 600 members but we all know each other.

Me I know I kill a bunch but I Bait fish, seems they swallow deep and I try to be nice and cut the line but some still go belly up.

Haven’t bought meat in years plus I eat meat that most don’t.

I should add to we don’t eat much meat. I was going to raise Rabbits. Like my wife said one Rabbit is two meals. One fish most time is two meals. We get six meals off a Turkey.

We are getting meals from the Senior Center which is interesting.
 

Kind of works against Gardening and Meat Gathering.

Possibly.   I was raised to help folks, if I felt they needed it, regardless of who or where I knew them from.   I was also raised to be MYSELF regardless of where I was.    The cashier at the QT probably would like a cleaned, packaged, and ready to cook mess of fish too, but he don't get offered one, why?  Because he doesn't attend your church?     How christian of you.  😅 

Everybody puts on a facade....at church. 🙄
