snagged in outlet 3 Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 So I found a baby rat in my smoker and saw big moms run away. So I put out a trap to kill her but kept getting cleaned out without triggering it. So I put a camera out there. I have never seen the rat but this little mouse showed up. I put out a small mouse trap In place of the large rat trap thinking I would kill the mouse. But he has triggered the trap twice but didn’t get snapped. He’s fast like a little ninja mouse. I’ve grown to like him so I watch him on the camera instead of trying to kill him. It’s relaxing to watch him snoop around in the dark. I’ve never seen the rat again. ness Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Cool video! We’ve got a mouse that lives in our compost bin. Wife said get rid of him but I said he’s just a mouse being a mouse and not hurting anything. Now we’re losing garden stuff to mice so it’s gonna have to stop. snagged in outlet 3 1 John
MrGiggles Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 It's all fun and games until they build a nest under the shroud of your mower, or eat the wiring in your car. I don't have any sympathy for them, plus they bring around snakes. tho1mas 1 -Austin
MOPanfisher Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 They cost me $900 for a new electronic display for my tractor. I have enough cats and black snakes that mice and rats had better be fast and wary. I have never minded black snakes around, even if they have scared me out of a few years growth when they appear in unexpected places. Too bad they don't eat feral cats, coons, armadillos and possums. But I sure do like him. I have two cats on camera all the time. They are bird killers. I’ve thought of putting some treats out for them. Clearly they aren’t mousers.
Ryan Miloshewski Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Yea it's all fun and games until they climb under your truck hood and chew the wiring of your engine coils and you have to spend too much time trying to splice what's left of the wires because COVID caused delays in shipping so you can't just go buy a replacement. Mice, squirrels, and chipmunks..if they die, they die. snagged in outlet 3 1 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
jdmidwest Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 I am trying to figure a way to get rid of this little female doggy in mine without the neighbors dogs coming home with a bloody foot and choke marks around their neck. nomolites 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S.
