moguy1973 Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Looks like a typical day out on Lake of the Ozarks. No really though, that was really stupid. They are a couple lucky dudes. snagged in outlet 3 1 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson

Flysmallie Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 I've been in worse on Stockton. I was smart enough to have my life jacket on.

fishinwrench Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Situation kinda goes next level when you're 5+ miles offshore (to far to swim) in shark infested water. I've been in some wicked squalls....but there was always the option of getting myself to the bank....and to hell with the stupid boat ! That's what insurance is for. Mitch f 1
MOPanfisher Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 If you are gonna be in places where such as that is likely you better be fully prepared to get the the heck of there, or be prepared to endure it. Out on the salt there ain't much to hide behind, on inland lakes there is usually a cove you can duck into and avoid the worst. Sat out a lot of thunderstorms tucked back in a cove when a kid on stockton, in a 14 ft richline. That guy saw it coming, I am a chicken I would have been headed for the nearest harbor at top speed.
