fishinwrench Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 We had a very deranged, battered and bloody 19 y/o kid show up one night at 2:15 am that kinda freaked us out a little bit. He was yelling and making no sense at all. Me and my dog met him on the porch. He had crashed his mom's Explorer, was scared and cut up pretty bad. He went to the first house he saw with any lights on. Good thing I'm not the type to just open fire on him, hu? It took 20 minutes to get him calmed down enough to tell us his parents phone number. We have gotten a Christmas card from them every year since. 🙂 Daryk Campbell Sr, MOstreamer and bfishn 3

Dutch Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 I quit sleeping with a gun after I nearly shot one of my wife's young cousins. He was drunk and came walking unannounced into our house. He was met with a loaded and cocked revolver. Two things happened that night: 1. He sobered up really quick. 2. I decided that I had come too close to taking a life, albeit a stupid one. bfishn 1

Dutch Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 He didn’t need one. We were living in the country in northern Stone County. The front door didn’t even have a lock.

MOPanfisher Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 I will play for time with a locked door, hopefully anyone who is breaking in will make enough noise to wake me up. If the cops kick it in, hell they will have me caught or killed long before I get firearm. If a badger stays outside he can become the Sheriff's problem, if he tries to come through the door all bets are off. Terrierman 1
