Johnsfolly Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Arkansas Lake Hamilton gives up a giant striper during a recent bass tourney. https://www.thv11.com/article/sports/outdoors/arkansas-pro-angler-reels-striped-bass-lake-hamilton/91-586ce3a8-2ab2-4207-9ef3-51ae8b8c749b Might have thought @Quillback may have heard this story. This is a big fish for sure! Daryk Campbell Sr, Quillback, BilletHead and 2 others 5
Quillback Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Thanks for posting that, didn't know about it. What a monster! Johnsfolly 1
FishnDave Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Why am I not surprised that Arkansas named a lake after @Ham ? 😄 gotmuddy, Ham, curtisce and 1 other 1 3
nomolites Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Poor kid never caught another keeper black after that fish….bad luck I tell ya. I will say in my experience I have have caught some toad largemouth while fishing for stripers…I guess they are cruising for leftovers. Mike MOstreamer and Johnsfolly 2
BilletHead Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Thats pretty neat! Has Ham been to Hamilton?? Ketchup Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 Was there just before Christmas. Man it was cold, as you can see the ice on my boat. Beautiful lake that we will visit again when it warms. One of the islands has a walking trail around it, with signs about the history. Pretty cool area. Water level was way down due to draw down. Long stretch from the dock to get on the boat. 😁 Quillback and Johnsfolly 2 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
jdmidwest Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 One of the points has a Clinton resort on it. Been there when floatplanes are taking off and landing on it. Not sure who has the right of way on that one. Hamilton is different, trout on upper end, temperate bass and others thru the rest. Big houses all around. Nice area. I’ve driven by it multiple times and fished DeGray and Ouachita multiple days. I would rather try Catherine than Hamilton although the temperate bass options are appealing BilletHead and bfishn 2 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
