jdmidwest Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I dumped my little jet boat off the trailer on a flat ramp last summer, landed on the foot. Did not break it, but was a pain to get back on. Tail heavy with batteries, gas, and motor back there on dry bunks. Just bumped the brakes to adjust before hitting the curb on a narrow MDC ramp. fishinwrench Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Crisco on carpeted bunks is an old hack. Melt it, and paint it on liberally. Lasts a good long time. BilletHead and fshndoug 1 1
grizwilson Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Do not have them on my ole Champion but all 3 of the tin boats are equipped, I have a safety rope to keep it from sliding off trailer when I undo strap, after stern is in the water, then I just power up to release the rope, Some of our local ramps require adjustments. Guess your configuration may be different than mine. Yeah I was talking about the plastic gutters. The ID on them is quite a bit smaller than a 2x4. BilletHead 1 -Austin
