Today's sammich

I’m not much of a fish eater, maybe once a year. Today was that day with some walleye slabs we had. She made some flavorful tarter to go with it.

Yuck, tartar sauce ruins the flavor of good fish.  The breading should have been enough.  Good looking sandwich.

Hmm.  Like butter and sour cream ruins the flavor of a good baked potato? 

Like ketchup ruins the flavor of good french fries? 

I love dipping fish fillets (whether they are "good" or not) in some dill tarter sauce, or Sriracha.   Yum! 😋

I don’t like fish flavor, so that tarter was just what it needed to get it down my gizzard. I would die quickly if all this world had to eat was fish.

white bread, a fish filet with fried onions and s few drops of franks is my favorite fried fish. It surprisingly healthy too lol

Gentlemen, please. Anyone can ruin good fish. Anyone can cover it with sauce. Read my blog posts and the recipes in the What's Cooking thread.

Folks must be getting uptight with all this heat.  Who gives a care what someone else prefers to eat.  Some like sauces some don't.  Some prefer this and some prefer that.  Eat what you want and how you want it.

I'd say your fish sandwich beat my fried egg sandwich on wheat toast with yellow mustard, dill pickles and mayonnaise.  Even if it is one of my faves.
