Daryk Campbell Sr
No issues to report as of yet. We both have the same company, Travelers. My health insurance company is paying all of my medical bills, and subrogating from the auto insurance. Terrierman
I'm not making light of this situation at all but I have to wonder how many ambulance chaser lawyers and law firms are your new best friends now? grizwilson
Daryk Campbell Sr
I can tell you, many. Surprisingly it is not the local ones to St Louis. I got 2 pre recorded video boxes that were personalized to me. Similar to a talking picture frame crossed with a tablet computer. They are color screens, framed and have video that plays. The lawyer addressed me by name, and mentioned the accident in the video. I've gotten magnets, brochures, and other junk. One firm makes sure to reach out to me monthly or semi monthly reminding me of how long it's been and assuring me that the insurance company is dragging its feet, and that their specific firm will be able to make a difference. But, none are really addressing my healing, or loss of daily activities or how different therapies, or emotional support groups, or family support, etc will assist in my getting back to where I was prior to the event. Just how much money they have gotten awarded in the past. To be honest, 20 million dollars isn't gonna do me any good if I don't get to walk properly again to be able to hike into some tough spots for fishing or portaging the canoe I havent been able to work on. Or if my PTSD continues and I am still to scared to drive because the lanes seem so much narrower nowadays. Etc. Sorry, I know you weren't looking for a soapbox, but it really is tough, when many see the financial "gain" potential, here I am just wanting to be able to sleep and walk like I did in mid August. Editing to add, Im sorry it reads like a slam or complaining about your question Rick. I'm not, your curiosity is valid. Keep asking any questions, as RPS mentioned, yall are all family to me. I'm an open book. grizwilson, Terrierman, tjm and 2 others 4 1 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. Etc I'm sure. My wife had a deer jump out of nowhere when she was in her early 20's, causing her to crash, and she refuses to drive still. It's frustrating to me, but I'm not in favor of trying to force someone to drive that isn't comfortable doing it. Being behind the wheel gives her uncontrollable anxiety. You will have to establish a "new" normal and build from there. Each person is different, and copes differently. Have had flashbacks from the 70's three times in the past week due to random events. PTSD can be difficult, and hard for lawyers to collect on, physical ..... will get better, but as you mature (age) you will get reminders. I am more accurate than the Weather Channel...keep working it will be better.
