JestersHK Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Found a few this evening. A few on plum crazy jerk, but they are midging so much i switched to a black and purple jig. The rain and wind was annoying but was lucky to find a few net fillers that were worthy of a pic. Had a good one on for a bit. Hit solid, started peeling drag and popped my 4lb like it was nothing... Wish I could of seen that one. Family trip so I'll mostly be hitting it at night. Daryk Campbell Sr, FishnDave, Greasy B and 4 others 7
fishinwrench Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Nice! @fshndoug and I been hitting it through the week, headed back home to the grind tomorrow I think. It's been all about dry flys, scuds, Cracklebacks, soft hackles, and wooly buggers for us. Pretty much just choose what you wanna throw......and keep on slinging it. 👍 nomolites, BilletHead, dpitt and 8 others 11

JestersHK Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 Dang that's some bummer timing on my behalf lol. I like fishing with that Doug character, but gotta watch him he's shifty 😄 You guys be safe getting home. fshndoug, trythisonemv, Daryk Campbell Sr and 3 others 5 1

I kept them in the water and they did swim off strong, but other than the initial take they just sort of wallored in. Might be the lower DO at night? trythisonemv and Johnsfolly 2
fishinwrench Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Yeah they pretty much just lean against you, and really don't have any tricks to pull. The small-medium sized fish seem to have plenty of spunk though. 👍 Johnsfolly, fshndoug and JestersHK 3
JestersHK Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 Went to brown town tonight. Started off with the fly rod and stripped a @BilletHead clouser in sculpin colors. The brownies seemed to like it along with some bows. First fish was first brown of the weekend on a fast strip. He hit and launched straight into the air but I was able to get keep him buttoned up. A bit later I got a great hit on a pause and landed another brownie net filler just shy of 21in on the tape. Non triploid too with his fin intact. Both fish fought better than the bows and got them both in quick and released after a quick pic. A few guys were fishing and I just missed one landing a 10lb bow or so. Was chilly tonight in the low 40s and I was not layered up properly despite my fatness... That last brown got my arms wet so I called it early as were doing SDC tomorrow and gonna try to fish with Blake tomorrow night. I'll take quality over quantity though any night. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 6, 2022 Root Admin Posted November 6, 2022 I'm sure the DO is low, esp at night. DO is good coming out of the outlets but that's all the o2 they get at night. Be that way till the lake turns and it has to get cold before that happens. JestersHK, dpitt and fishinwrench 3
