Keep it going. I'm amused! Qanon and right wing loony wet dream. Can we just say that a jewish space laser shot it down, and not an F-22 ordered by Jospeh? mic Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 My guess is another reason that they shot it down over the water... it gives them a better chance (stress chance) to get the parts from it. Look I'm not saying it wasn't all about safety, but I would assume there are some classified reasons they did what they did. I'm also assuming they shot the crap out of the cameras on that thing with lasers or other wave based energy from the ground. I 100% could be wrong, but it would not surprise me. So if that is the true, the juice isn't worth the squeeze to drop it out of the sky and risk anything. Define flew over. That thing was 60K feet in the air. It was probably "over" two or three states at one time. Yes it sucks, yes China should not have done it, and yes we should throw a fit. However, let's not act like the US hasn't done flyovers dozens if not hundreds of times over the years. fishinwrench 1

I still woulda busted it up in Idaho. Mike
fishinwrench Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 I'm still curious how they first identified it as a Chinese vessel. I have a feeling that the Chinese contacted the U.S. before it ever got here, and said something to the effect of..... "Hey, one of our exploratory balloons has veered into the jet stream and is headed on a course into your airspace. If this is a problem let us know and we'll chase it down and do whatever is necessary". To which the U.S. officials likely said..... "Oh that's fine, we'll keep an eye on it and if it starts to cause a problem we'll let ya know."........ Then we shot it down, and now they are pissed. And rightly so. The other scenario would go like this..... We spot it and have no idea what it is or WHO it belongs to, so the U.S. puts out a worldwide bulletin.....and whoever chimes in first, and says they own it, we just immediately believe them. And take their word on its purpose.....So we let it drift completely across the United States before we drop a hammer on it. Which scenario do you buy? Or do you wanna speculate on a different one? Would love to hear it. Either way there's no legitimate reason for anything about it to be TOP SECRET, CLASSIFIED, or CONFIDENTIAL. 🙄 The whole MUSHROOM treatment we get from our government and media is beyond old. Everything has a "Made in China" sticker on it. We are too lazy to make much of anything any more. Who gave them the tech in the first place? This started a long time ago. Nixon opened up free trade. Bush 1 did his part for the free trade. Clinton's gave them secrets. You and I might be able to keep our cool right? . I'd rather they just be up-front and make a statement that says...."Look, were gonna do whatever we see fit, regardless of how ridiculous it may sound. You don't have a say in any of it, so just mind your own personal household business, pay your taxes, and obey the laws that we've laid out for you." All of these reporters and news outlets can start chicken farms and sell eggs, or find other productive careers. There's no sense in "addressing the public" and lying about everything because all that does is cause arguments and start fights. Individual families can't even get along because of their staunch political views. As for the TP shortage....... Throughout that whole ordeal I never once got done pooping and lacked something to wipe my butt with. 2 napkins from Sonic, or a washrag and a cup of water, can fulfill my daily needs. The fact that the whole country got all bent out of shape over that was absolutely ridiculous. BilletHead 1
