jdmidwest Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 I noticed today was your birthday at 6 am this morning when I checked in, just too tired to make note of it... And I am 5 years behind you. Happy Birthday and many many more. ColdWaterFshr Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Happy birthday, Phil. Take care of yourself. Once we hit 50, we all know that check engine light comes on and refuses to go off. Here's to hoping you have a lot of good years left on the tires. Phil Lilley 1

Quillback Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Happy Birthday! Got you by a few months, I'm going to be 66 real soon. It's just a number, right? BilletHead and Phil Lilley 2
Foghorn Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 I was playing a little basketball at 65 with one of the older grandkids. he was 14 and I faked him out, went around him to shoot a layup, and twisted my left ankle went I came down. No big deal until a couple days later when my right hip felt like it was going to fall off. I hand landed on my right knee when I fell and had a labrum tear in my right hip. It still gives me problem at 70. Happy belated birthday and be careful in those basketball games. Quillback, Phil Lilley, laker67 and 1 other 4
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted September 20, 2023 Author Root Admin Posted September 20, 2023 I'm afraid to quit playing at this point. I don't do anything else to stay in shape. Really need to build some muscle, not for playing but because I'm going to need it. I started working out with weights in 2007 thru 2011. I still benefit from that strength I believe. I know alot of it is genes for most of us but just being smart with stretching and eating right can do wonders for an aging body. Just got to do it. Quillback Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Here's a quote for you (and all the other oldsters on here). Keep on moving. Always enjoy your reports and videos. Brothers and I have a condo up the lake from you. We'll stop and introduce ourselves sometime. Been fishing Taney since the late 60's.
