My guess is that they suspect there was lead shoved down its throat.

Possibly the most telling is that of all things "fish & wildlife departments" are supposed to be active about.......Fish size records are something taken so seriously 🙄 

Have they nothing better to do ? 🤔

Few years ago KDWP kept harassing a couple in rural, Western Kansas about a "pet" mule deer they had around their barnyard. It was around since it was born and I guess the doe died earlier that year and the thing stayed around. They fed it and it was comfortable around them. Well, two agents went out there and shot the thing right in front of them.

So, no, KDWP especially has nothing better to do.

I'm sure it needed to be tested for Chronic Wasting Disease.

Have you been test for CWD yet fishinwrench?  I suppose you may be one of those carriers of the disease.

Do you suppose CWD got to these, or do you think they were shot and never recovered? 

The one looks like it died while still in velvet? 

Found today, all within 300 yards of each other.
