dpitt Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Reading all these posts made me remember a tip. If your fishing in a boat in really cold weather, make sure you wipe down your trolling motor when you stow it for another drift, because after you make your move it will be frozen stuck. You'll have to kick it loose or pee on it . Quillback, snagged in outlet 3 and Flysmallie 3
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted November 29 Posted November 29 As Mr Babler says, I just ain't that mad at them. 40's with no wind, I can deal. I've fished and had ice in the guides on Tablerock during a One Bass Tournament. I didn't care for that. dpitt, Quillback and snagged in outlet 3 3 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. dblades Posted November 29 Posted November 29 I don't think guides is the only thing that got iced up. Daryk Campbell Sr, dpitt, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 2 2

Johnsfolly Posted November 29 Posted November 29 One year @BilletHead, @Ham and I met at Bennett's for C&R. I believe that the temp was either 14 or 17 when we met up. Warmed up into the twenties maybe even above freezing when we left. Caught a bunch of fish and had a good time. dpitt, BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3 and 2 others 5

I remember one frigid jig fest and boats were frozen on trailers, frozen steering and throttle cables too. @Daryk Campbell Sr was out there! tjm Posted November 29 Posted November 29 The fish don't care about air temps and the water is never colder than 32F, even under ice. Johnsfolly 1

Took a few minutes for the trailer bunks to thaw out and turn the boats loose. Johnsfolly 1
