Cody @gotmuddy and I met up for a day of fishing. I was like a kid running across a playground on the way down. I drove through the Scenic Riverway along the Current River. So many access points, and conservation areas. Got down to the access, met Cody and shoved off. We got fish early on, a double at one point, but it slowed quickly. It rained through the night and early morning, was just moving out as we launched. I got a couple smallmouth, Cody got Smallies, a rainbow, and a pickerel. The day was going too well, so after the trolling motor remote control battery died, Cody decided to change that up by knocking his chair into the water after we got unstuck from a rock that was holding us hostage in the river. Welcome to the SHOW. After we parted ways I stopped at a few access points on the way home. Caught my first pickerel. It was a good day. The pickerel was on a DD Signature series jerkbait. They catch more than big trout, at night.

I'm thinking about the magnet mentioned. Just a magnet, on the inside of the hull, if the transom does not go to the bottom. Then the transducer mounted to another magnet outside of the hull. These would have to be stronger neodymium type magnets, but, I believe the attraction would give before breaking the mount. This would give you the opportunity to make adjustments until you found your sweet spot also. Hmmm. I may have a project for today. Thanks.

Curious about the mailing option. Who holds your boxes? If they arrive before you? -

Nice artwork. I've always known it was warmer South of St Louis, but they still have leaves on the trees. Going to Taneycomo tomorrow. Tired of this cold. -
Well, all things considered, there is a reason the lake was low. Maybe, the water on was a last chance option? Maybe there is a leak, and they were trying in good faith to salvage the lake. If this was summer, the chlorine could have evaporated due to the sun. Maybe the ones in charge have done similar things and it worked. I don't live in the city anymore. But I know these ponds well. I've swam them. Both parks mentioned. That being said, the water cannons are often used, why the problem now?

Off the direct topic, but I'm curious about the chair. It is offset, but why use the mounting post? Almost looks as if it is designed for multiple seats in a row. I'm still trying to figure out what setup I want for my casting deck, and I believe I am just going to use a chair, instead of a seat in a post. I seen the base of that was small also. @fishinwrench, I believe he wants camera mounts.

2021 MO Fishing License
Daryk Campbell Sr replied to FishnDave's topic in General Angling Discussion
I'm no old timer, but I do long for the days when you could buy your license any day of the year, and it was good for a year. -
Yes sir!

I'm not usually a spelling checker, but I believe you meant clinic.

Good to see a Hogwally post. Thanks for the info. City boys need direction. Lol

Interesting for sure, but is light required? The shadows seem to make me think so.

I'm gonna let the pictures speak for themselves. We had a great weekend, really missed all who could not make it. I arrive friday evening, and got out for the night fishing adventure thanks to Geno for taking me out. I caught my personal best Brown trout on a White jerkbait, broke the rear hook and tail while thrashing in the net. Next tied on a french pearl signature series jerkbait from Duane Doty. Then caught the second brown of the night. Couldn't seem to get any other action, went back and hung out with the guys for a bit before bed. Cody @gotmuddy was kind enough to let me tag along on his boat, and drive me around for the weekend. We had a grind to catch fish Saturday, but just hanging out and being on the water was enough. I threw Lilley's Landing Jigs, mostly peach sculpin, and olive ginger, and straight olive. I also threw the French Pearl Signature Series jerkbait, we caught fish, but just couldn't find the numbers. Saturday night, we had lots of food. Lots. Chili with the fixings, Korean pork, toasted Ravioli, smoked wings, smoked salmon, cheesecake, homemade muffins, I'm sure I forgot some. Saturday evening went ba k out for night fishing at a spot @JestersHK and @N9BOW had discussed, but, water was rising, made for possibly unsafe conditions. Decided to try another spot, Geno got a rainbow, and DJ got one, but the resf of us struggled. Called it early. Got up, Cody wanted to fish some more on Sunday morning. I was game. We stayed close to the cabin, it was chilly with rain in the forecast, possible snow. We caught good numbers. I was using Lilley's Landing Jigs, Cody was using cranks. We had doubles, and back to backs. It was cold, but the fish had a way of making you forget the cold. We put Cody's boat through some drills, seeing how shallow it would run. Inwas impressed. We were ankle deep when it got stuck. He has the steelflex epoxy on the bottom, made it very easy to drag. We had fun boating, fishing, eating and just hanging out. Hopefully, next year we can have the large crowd again.

Riley's station sign up sheet (Jigfest 2020)
Daryk Campbell Sr replied to Quillback's topic in White River
I understand what you mean. But, I have also needed help in my past, and this may have been an opportunity for me. So, if someone is on the fence, take the opportunity to hang out with us. We all need help at some point in life.
