  1. I think a lot more fisherman’s eyes have been opened up to the offshore fish that have always been there, and I don’t really see this going back to other way soon. I quit bank beating years ago once I figured out how to target and catch deep fish, and FFS simply made that easier. And put boats on most of my favorite spots. I don’t see much use for it for shallow fish, but I see the pros using it there too. I’m not that fond of staring at the screen. Mike
  2. I’m in. Somebody has to maintain that last place position.
  3. That PBJ wart/crawler is sick. I don’t need to ask if it catches fish. Mike
  4. Hmmm. They weren't making them to begin with, may have to pick up a couple packs to play around with. Mike
  5. PBJ is money on LOZ unless the water is dirty if you are going to fish a Ned. They should make a watermelon red…. Mike
  6. If I had a nickel for every gallon of diesel or bad gas that has been applied to roads, driveways, fencerows, etc. I’d be sitting pretty flush right now. Can’t have any of them weeds about either…. Mike
  7. Nice setup! I’m pretty happy I stopped resisting, but you all just keep on. Using it in tandem with 2D and SI for just a little while fills the gaps and gives you insight you’ve not had into what your gear is showing you. Mike
  8. If you check your ice cream it is probably soft… Mike

    What's Cooking?

LOL - I picked my daughter up from STL last nite and we were just discussing EWR as her flight in did not go too well. I was sharing some of my underwhelming experiences there (Newark) over the years and that I will not miss flying in/out of there one bit after I retire in April!!! The skyline is beautiful from the air, or better yet, from the river at night. Other than that I don’t have much use for NYC. Mike
  10. X4. I will second Ryan’s mention of the Ahrex Pred but I would go larger for temperates. Those are the two hook types I keep on hand. Mike
  11. The 16v electronics battery was a new one for me; learn something new every day. It will be interesting to see how quickly he moves from being a GDI over to the dark side with sponsorships and selling now that he has made the elites. I kinda hope he leaves that thing unwrapped and shakes things up a little. Mike
  12. I’m with Wrench here….have a big fish drag you up and down a dock cable and you WILL see the difference; flouro outperforms everything else. Mike
  13. I never have breaks at the knot with the palomar. Use a loop knot for topwater or suspending jerks. Mike
  14. I tend to agree; FWIW, I believe programs with good leadership see less of these new “accepted” behaviors, and are typically better teams. Mike
  15. Nicely done! Beautiful buck. Mike
  16. I’m interested. Don’t have a river boat, but could rent something from Phil or drag my Fish Hawk down and stay deep. Mike
  17. Theoretically, there are sanctions against Iranian goods - especially oil. Practically, we let them do whatever they like short of sinking one of our naval vessels. I don’t believe we buy their(Iranian) oil, but we sure allow everyone else to. Mike
  18. Religion on any level Bonuses - who and how much Who’s sleeping with whom
  19. Watch your wrists….they can whack you pretty good. Mike
  20. You have me beat…I usually stop collecting an item when I reach a supply that I could never realistically use. Nicely done! Mike
  21. Just north where the Mills/Industrial park are now and Cowmire creek comes through. Been a minute. Mike
  22. It is, and they are quite delicious - used to pick up a few every fall hunting the swampy MO river bottoms, but it sure has been a long time since I have seen one. Neat! Mike
  23. I used to work in Alton/Wood River and have many buffalo sandwiches/lunches - I enjoy it as it is a unique prepped/served fish, but there are many other fish I enjoy more. Mike
  24. The solubility of a gas in a liquid is pressure dependent. Think of a beer bottle when you twist off the cap and the CO2 is released….same phenomenon in the fishes bloodstream, or a scuba diver who get bends. Mike
