Missed this post in 2014. Best TR fish - was 2004? where the Kings flows into the White off the tree tops on the bluff wall near the point. I was trolling for walleye and the fish hit right as I yanked the lure out of a tree top. (This is a common trigger move for fish.)

The largest while fishing for bass was a fat 23.5 inch fish in early June on one of my Top Dollars. 2013,2014, or 2015? I was fishing the early morning shad chase on the flat outside Stubblefield branch. I had no scale that day. I estimate 8 to 8.25.

It is very hard to substantiate as most weights are unofficial as most often the fish must die. I will tell you that the biggest fish are always electro fished up the James River with Bear's Den 9 out of 10 times having the biggest fish of the year.

There are absolutely zero fish up the James or bear den!!!

Kentucky angler Dan Morehead caught this 6-12 spot in March 2009 during an FLW tournament on Table Rock. 

Personally speaking, it's one of the prettiest darn fish I've ever seen.

My Personal best was a 9.11 weighed on a certified scale caught in Schooner Creek in 96 or 98? Should have won $20K with biggest bass weighed in, it was a free tournament for participating resorts. Got disqualified, we did not check in before going fishing because we arrived at resort at 5 in morning and just went fishing, bummer deal.

In my 35 years now of experience fishing Tablerock Lake now age 50, personally I have caught lots of 5 to 7 pound largemouth and spots and smallmouth both UpTo 5 pounds with my personal best spotted bass a 6.29 coming out of a big mixed winter school in Beardsley. I have fished it in all the seasons and I seriously don't ever recall it being loaded with "bearded hillbilly bank fisherman" it's steep sides and limited access to bank fisherman period. Maybe you need to check your lake knowledge and be sure your talking about the one Beardsley Creek that is on the long creek channel side across the lake and towards long creek from the dam.

Sorry, you got caught in an inside joke. The “bearded hillbilly bank fishermen” spoke of are to keep folks out of that particular cove. The REAL TRUTH, Is that there are NO scary bearded hillbilly bank fishermen on all of Table Rock. They are EVERYWHERE on Bull Shoals though. Stay on TR where it’s safe!!!!
