Fishing ethic

Recommended Posts

I get so tired of another angler degrading another fellow member. Its really uncalled for. We need to grow up here. Seriously ill bet there are plenty of you that has put a 15inch largemouth in the livewell and probably barely pushing 15inches. So have respect and respect a man when he post pics, just to get everyone excited about fishing. Lets be fisherman and not critics.

It is what it is, but ill tell ya what if an other angler is proud of his catch he is entitled to do with it as he pleases I have OAF On my truck. I am an angler and I know what fish there are.not being a jerk to none of you guys, but this is a forum to discuss fishing and to help each other out, to improve and help one another. As for me I take my fishing serious, and I apply tactics to fishing from listening to other anglers. Fishing is not like it once was. Everyone knows this. If you want comedy get on utube.

I guess I didn't get the memo. How WAS it, and how is it NOW ?

Well, back in the old days, one would launch his 1978 Ranger Aztec 1750 at a public ramp, without a soul around. He would gracefully glide across the smooth as silk water to his favorite shoreline, not encountering a single boat along the way. He would fish that 100 yard stretch for 4 hours, catching lots of big fish, putting them all in the livewell to feed his growing family. He would then, just as gracefully, make his way back to the ramp, trailer his boat with a smile on his face, and head to the house with dinner in the boat, without ever so much as 1 single rude pleasure boater, mor fisherman cutting in front of him, or backing down the ramp, cutting him off.

As far as the NOW, well i doubt its anything like the BEFORE.

I for one do NOT take my fishing "Seriously", if I did I would fish tournaments but I refuse to turn something that is fun and I love doing into a Job. I fish hard and at times work at it, but thats about as close to serious as I get. Fishing is still very similar to how it was when I grew up, crappie fishing was certainly not a fish the best spots all day and see no one, heck everyone we knew was there. When you start taking fishing too seriously is when things like cutting people off by sliding in 50 yards ahead of them and fishing the bank for a few minutes them tearing out to go somewhere else. Where I see the biggest changes are in ramp etiquette and number of pleasure boaters. I honestly think that many people have never considered how much of a back up it causes on the ramp when they back down and then begin all their loading and prep work. Pleasure boaters, well they paid for their toys the same as I did and are welcome to use the lake as well.

What I need now is some new wheels for my boat trailer, Agressor1988long, where are you launching/parking at now. :have-a-nice-day: Just teasing, I don't even take the forums very seriously.

MOPan

I agree with u, u cant believe everything that is posted online.

Agressor

if your complaining about people at the lake then build your own personal pond and suite urself.

Yes there are alot of other boaters out there now days but they pay the same as we do for the use of the resource so just let them be and go on ur way or let them go on theirs.

DO i agree that people should park at the ramp to unlatch the tie downs no but normally it doesnt take people that long to do and unload, what gets me is the families/friends that hoard the courtesy dock with there 5 boats and wont allow u to use the dock to unload but that is life you just ask and most of the time they oblige.

Wow. I get called out for expressing my opinion . Yeh, maybe I miss spoke and for that I am sorry. But another thread comes up bashing me for my opinion. Really ? Your opinions are ok. Mine aren't.
