Was on the river fishing. Couple was down there.

Told them I would sure like to be catching the best eating fish in the river, the Redhorse Sucker.

The old man says only a true Local Hillbilly would say that.

A true hillbilly is someone who doesn't get offended at being called one.  Has nothing to do with what you eat, what you drive, or even where you live.  It's all about what you love and how you carry yourself.

One shot,

Was the guy joking or did he have a mean look on his face? Makes a difference.

throw me into that hillbilly group oneshot. I was born and raised and still living in camden county. My family came here in 1820 and settled in what is now prairie hollow on the little niangua. And yes, I prefer suckers over trout, but only to eat. Trout fishing is my number one "hillbilly" thing to do.

Hill Billy ------  most do not know who or what kind of person they are talking to when they say that. I have a friend with a big beard hanging down to his chest, a county twang. And runs around with a old beat up cowboy hat all the time. Well he might not appear as to what most the yuppies and pretty people think and do as they go through life persueing social acceptance and keep ing up with the Jone 's. He is just a real nice person. A very wealthy one to be a matter of fact.

You never know. The smartest person I have ever met lives in a run down house with no heat and and empty cupboard. Stereotypes are easy, sometimes funny but almost never accurate.

His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974

I consider myself a hillbilly and I've lived in the St Louis Metro my whole life.

BTW, my family knows I'm a hillbilly.

I BBQ and fry fish in my garage.

I'm with Laker.   Trout taste like crap.
