I never understood what good power poles are on table rock.

I fish the Okie series in the Bfl. You can definitely use them over there.

I keep the following rods on my deckwhen chasing bass. The only rod I wouldn't mind having is a medium light spinning setup for NED's and grub, but the 7' M/F works just fine for me. I'd say I use my spinning and bottom setups 90% of the time. If I still have them all out on the deck at the end of the day then I probably had a tough day of catching.

7' crankin stick with 10# mono

7' mh/f casting  with 17# fluoro for bottom baits

7' mh/f casting with 20# fluoro for chatterbaits

7' m/f casting with 14# mono for spinnerbaits/buzzbaits/squarebills

6'6" m/f casting with 10-12# mono for jerkbaits/topwater plugs

6'6" m/f spinning with 15# braid and 8-12# fluoro leader for finesse/flukes

This is the arsenal, daily load out varies, but normally 10 or so in the boat, depending on season and lake. Bull Shoals, LOZ, and Twain all need pretty different stuff- counting them all up, looks like I pretty much am tied with Dave at 30 or so-

2x falcon low rider 6' UL spin, lews UL reel, 6 pound Nanofil- crappie/white bass

1x Falcon Cara T7 6'5" Jerkbait Special/lews BB-1/10 pound Sunline Sniper Flourocarbon- Jerkbaits

1x Falcon Cara T7 6'8" Angler of the Year/lews BB-1/12 pound Sunline Sniper Flourocarbon- Spinnerbaits

2x Falcon Cara T7 7' medium cranker/lews BB-1/12 pound Sunline Sniper Flourocarbon- Warts/Squarebills

2x G. Loomis IM6 7' PR-844 med/mod/lews Speed Spool/40 pound Sunline braid/15 pound mono leader- redfins/super spooks

2x G. Loomis GLX MBR-843 7' MH/lews team gold/16 pound Sunline Shooter Flourocarbon- finesse jigs/Texas rigs

2x G. Loomis NRX CRR-873 7'3" heavy/lews team gold/20 pound Sunline Shooter Flourocarbon- football jigs/Crigs

1x Falcon Cara T7 7'4" McClelland Heavy cover/lews speed spool/20 pound Sunline Shooter Flourocarbon- flipping jigs/beavers/flipping tubes

1x B&R outlaw 7'6" heavy/lews Tournament MG/50 pound Sunline Braid- Arigs/Swimbaits

Guest Gear-

2x 6'6" lews medium spinning combos with 8 pound nanofil- grub/ned for guests

2x 7' M/H Lamiglass Excel casting (for wife/guests)

1x 7' H Lamiglass Excel casting (for wife/guests)

1x 7' M/H Lamiglass Excel cranking rod (for wife/guests)

1x 7'3" H Lamiglass Exel casting (for wife/guests)

I sold the last of my old shimano curado reels that were on the guest rods, and haven't replaced them yet. Will either be lews refurb laser speed spools or most likely refurb bass pro pro qualifiers from the outlet store. Planning on picking up a few of those, just so there is a spare or two if someone backlashes one. I also have a couple of Bass Pro spincast reels for my 8 year old. He's ok with spinning gear, but the spin asters are nice to have him throw a Fin or swimbait on. I don't mind guests using my real gear if they are decent fishermen, but I've found keeping good but less expensive gear in the boat is better for teaching purposes. See the other thread about rod breakage from high sticking for why-

I have to work this weekend with the nice weather, so my cabin fever is still in full swing- what's in your rod locker? Let's see!

That is a very Republican load out. Shame on you. You undoubtedly worked hard to be able to afford those. You should have to give all or at least a large portion of that gear to guys using ugly sticks and zebco's with pre-rigged 10lb 4 year old curly monofilament who made poor life choices fishing from the bank. Just giving our "token donkey" some flak. Sweet combo's though even for your guests. You have more expensive taste than First Lady Obama, but at least you earned and paid for yours.

Since you cant seem to stop i wont either.....Look back at the time period after the second world war to the early 1980s.  The wealthiest americans paid a SIGNIFICANTLY higher tax rate...and guess what...they were still rich, the last 30 years has been a miserable failure for everyone except the very rich.  Im not sure how familiar you are with the sliding tax scale, but the wealthiest americans who currently benefit most from the capitalistic system are paying about the same as working folks when you factor in a pathetically low capitol gains tax.  Since most wealth in the country is made via capitol gains, not working americans, more money you make this way, the less it is taxed....hence the major incentive to make money, is in finance/wall street...actual innovators and developers (STEM) arent paid anything comparatively.  Why make money through work when you can simply trade stocks that were given to you by your wealthy family right?    Earned income tax for these people is taxed at 36% i believe, but if you make 90% of your money via capitol gains your rate averages out to the the low 20% if that.  That is just bass akwards.  Somehow suggesting that taxes be restructured the way they were 50 years ago so communistic or socialistic or whatever.  Were we commies in the 60s and 70s?  No politicians on either side like to talk about tax rates in the past.  The rich havent paid their fair share for 50 years.  Also,  Nobody complains about socialized police departments or fire departments, we take it for granted (what if your house was burning down and the fire department had to call your insurance company for a prior authorization..."sir we are waiting on approval, please be patient).  Unfortunately both republicans and democrats are only concerned about who is paying them the most, and thats all.  Since the rich have the most money they get what they want, all they have to do is convince the working class that its best for everyone this way. im kind of a democrat by default only cuz they suck a little less.  I guess it just blows my mind how the ultra wealthy have convinced everyone that whats best for working class folks is something more along the lines of a flat tax.  The american dream was never that you could be super rich, but that you could work hard and make a living to provide for your family.  The perpetual myth from the right is that if you work hard, youll be rich, if you dont youll be poor.  So..if your poor..it must be because your lazy, and if your rich, it must be cause you worked so hard to get all your money.  IN reality history has shown, and now is no different that its quite the other way around.

Go ahead....start the name calling, i deserve it...its the only logical argument you got.....the only thing left to do is get all emotional and flop around like fish on a cutting board.  :)  Anybody check out those spots i posted?

Never pay retail!

Staying single til 35 no doubt helped, as does eBay, Craigslist and online classifieds on a couple forums. I don't have near the money to spend on gear now with a family, nor as much time to use what I've got. That's at least a 15 year, maybe 20 year (holy crap I feel old!) on some of the Loomis stuff, collection.

Getting started, one falcon bucco medium spin combo and two casting, one m/h fast action for bottom baits and one medium moderate action for everything else would get a person a good bit of the way there-
