Bill Babler Posted February 20, 2018 Author Posted February 20, 2018 Fantasy was it you all I saw trolling the flats up there? http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Members JacobW Posted February 21, 2018 Members Posted February 21, 2018 No Bill it wasnt me. We have been fishing the same stuff you pretty much fished the other day though. None of those fish even bit a crawler, all were caught on the "stick". Its just one of those spots fish stage up this time of year.

No high dollar depth finder with gps etc on my boat so i rely on map study prior to my outings. Not asking for specific spots, of course, but understanding this kind of terminology helps improve my preparation. Thanks! Because so many, many fishermen fish it, and I consider it a community hole, and I have caught good walleye and bass from it, if you promise to keep no bass and only half of the legal walleye you catch, I will share an example of what Bill describes so you can sonar it and see what it looks like. Your job will be to find other areas where the same conditions exist. Put in at Eagle Rock. In front of you you will find a shallow soup bowl structure to the left and right of the ramp. If you motor from the ramp to the rock bluffs opposite it, you will see the water deepen to 20+ then shallow up to a hump before it drops into the channel of 40+ feet. That hump and drop off is the roll off Bill describes. At odd times you will find me working that edge with worm harnesses and trolling baits. I catch as many bass as I catch walleye. For those of you who worry about giving away a spot, I just gave him a spot 200 people fish regularly. Furthermore, it is't an easy one to fish. I declare no harm/no foul in order to teach. Hate me if you wish. vernon, big c, Daryk Campbell Sr and 5 others 7 1
nhornback Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Thanks for the descriptions guys. I actually rarely fish Table Rock, im closer to stockton, and when i do im usually out of cape or mill creek. I was mainly was hoping to take those descriptions and apply them to map study to find my own spots... i appreciate being shown a specific spot, but half the fun in fishing out of a bass boat is the hunt for them, and using maps and planning is the most rewarding part! big c, Champ188 and bfishn 2 1

In my case that's actually ALL of the fun primarily because nothing else ever happens. Not during, not after. Never.
