Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 7, 2018 Root Admin Posted April 7, 2018 Just like with all fishing tournaments, some catch them and some don't. Duane and Jack caught them... most of us didn't. I'm not going to give out numbers but let's just day Duane didn't beat last year's total but he was just under it. I'll find what he got and post it later. He took first in the professional division.... again.... for the third time in a row. Most of his fish, our the others I know where they fished, came out of slack water, different spots. I don't know what colors he threw but I caught my fish on sculpin/ginger 1/8th and 3/32nd ounce jigs. White didn't do it today. Jack Harris took first place in the intermediate division. This 19.5 inch brown helped push his numbers well over the other participants. He caught it on a crank bait drifting it on the bottom below Fall Creek. Look at the red spots!! Brandon Kossler took first place in the novice division. Seth, crazy4fishin, MickinMO and 3 others 6

Seth Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Fishing that high water without a good shad kill was much more challenging that I thought it would be. I only managed to put 23 in the boat, but I did catch several good quality fish and a couple of them were between Fall and Short Creek. It was a pleasure sharing the boat with @jdmidwest and his buddy Brandon. If he ever talks you in to go trout fishing with him on Taneycomo, you better be truly at those trout because he logs some serious hours chasing them when he is down. We logged between 18-20 hours between when we arrived around 8:40am on Friday till just before dark on Saturday. We woke up to this Saturday morning before the tournament. It also felt like 15 degrees. JestersHK and crazy4fishin 2
Seth Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Also, I think Duane is yanking our legs with this crankbait thing. When I try it, I only catch stuff that his cranking fish would eat for a snack! I'm starting to think all those big trout are actually just his pets! grizwilson, Phil Lilley, crazy4fishin and 1 other 3 1
JestersHK Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Seth summed up nicely the rest of our day Saturday. His results were much better than mine lol. Another amazing thing about this site is I'd never even know who Seth was much less get a chance to spend a few awesome days on the water in his good company all thanks to Phil. Was a pleasure @Seth, and can't wait to do it again sometime. Hopefully with less water so we can log those night hours in. Seth, grizwilson and BilletHead 3
