Trout for Sale - $4 each!

I’m sure that there is massive non-compliance with labeling & limits. This guy will get a small fine at most. Rarely keep fish, but when I do it’s almost always for that day’s consumption. Limits of Alaskan Salmon or Halibut would be different. The fish houses up there do a great job with the processing & shipping.

I’ve been absolutely ate up chasing ditch pigs but I just can’t stand to eat them.   They taste like crap.

What is or is not legal in Texas or Arkansas or Mississippi etc. have zero bearing on what is legal in MO.  I have been a part of enough church fish fry to know that yes there are some posession laws broken.  Also they cannot charge for wild caught fish, they can however accept a donation and usually get more $ that way.  I know for a fact that a few Agents have made contact with church or civic groups and explained the rules.  Often it is guys who trot line for catfish that supply the fish around here.  The best deal.I ever made with trout involved a small gas station in Branson where the owner would trade you a fresh made to order roast beef sammich in exchange for 5 little slimers.  I ate a few roast beef sammich's when involved worked down there.

My grandpa used to trade catfish and fresh killed racoons for some of the best BBQ ribs ever made.
