Alex Heitman Posted January 30, 2019 Author Posted January 30, 2019 Yeah I hope it’s just the weather affecting the fish and this isn’t the way it will be at every event. Pretty boring to 1lb them to death. I don’t think it will last many years if this continues. Brett yeah I haven’t been fishing much since Spring. I joined my brothers chiro practice in Jan 2017. It’s been great. Hoping to get out and visit your cove soon haha abkeenan 1
Seth Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Ish and Tharp were on some better quality fish. Tharp got 7th and only had 8 fish where as everybody around him had almost twice as many. You get see a lot of fish caught along with some nice fish. I enjoyed watching it myself. Looks like Hack Attack is in 2nd right now and has the heaviest average weight out of anybody in the top 10.
Quillback Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 There are some guys that wouldn't be fishing any differently if it was a big 5 tourney, Ish and Sporher (dunno if I spelled that right) being two of them. I've watched a lot of "Big 5" live coverage that can be pretty boring too. That drop shot fest on the MO river in South Dakota probably being the most boring one I've ever watched, not that I stayed with it long. To me it has a lot to do with what lake they are fishing and the techniques rather than what they are targeting.
moguy1973 Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 I like it. Change is good and traditional bass tournaments have gotten stale and aren't that fun to watch on TV. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Lvn2Fish Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Looks like they’re going to be a Table Rock in May . I would say the number of fish caught will dwarf this tournament .
Bill Babler Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 At this point it really reminds me of the 10 fish days, back in the day when you could weigh in 10. Most here probably don't remember that. Flysmallie and magicwormman 2 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Members lobina grande Posted January 30, 2019 Members Posted January 30, 2019 Some first show kinks need to be worked out but to me, it seems like there was a lot of dead air until an angler started to talk and tell you something about how he was fishing and then the commentators would start talking over what the angler was saying drowning them out with useless BS. I was hoping to hear more from the anglers about their choice of lures and techniques and less from the commentators droning on. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

Hunter53 Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 I really like the MLF format! Most fishermen don't tournament fish; they go out wanting to catch a lot of fish and hopefully catch a big one or two. The MLF format is what most people can relate to=fishing; not just trying to get 5 big bites in 8 hours of fishing. To me the MLF format shows who the best fishermen are; the ones who can figure out how to catch a bunch of fish instead of who gets lucky enough to get 5 big bites. MGP and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
