They couldn’t have the Iditarod sled race this year in the normal over ice route, because there wasn’t any ice.

On a side note, one of the reasons I’m calling myself a follower of Christ these days, instead of a Christian, is the evangelical right’s opposition to climate change science. Saying that you can ignore melting polar ice and measurable sea level rise because God said he’d never flood the earth again in the Old Testament,  is not faith, it’s insanity.

God commanded us to be good stewards of His creation, and He gave us creative powers of our own to invent things. I don’t understand why it’s “bad” or even “job killing” to invent new, creative, dare I say “better” solutions to energy, transportation, product packaging, and even bass boat motors and bring them to market.

Innovation should be the driving force in a world leading country’s economy, and frankly, I think our overpaid CEO’s  have become more interested in keeping the status quo of huge salaries and bonuses and just finding new ways to sell us the same thing, than taking risks, going out on the limb, and investing into brand new solutions and innovative products.

In other words, where are my blankety blank flying cars?!?

We need a period of technological growth like we had during WWII and the post war years (throwing the space race in here), because with the exception of the internet, we have been coasting on "refining" concepts that were brought to life by The Greatest Generation, and not really pushing into uncharted territory.

Say it slowly-

“new” is NOT by definition, “bad”, and there is no logical reason at all, that “new” can’t be designed to better for the planet, as well as being a better mousetrap in general.

If you are a Christian (as most are) then there's absolutely nothing for you to worry about.  Your actions, or inactions regarding these kinda things are all taken care of.  It's all part of the grand plan and nothing you/we/they do, or don't do, is going to change that plan.    All of this concern, debating, arguing, protesting, and lobbying is a huge waste of your allotted time above ground.

You are promised eternal paradise.....So Let it be.

Anddd this is why religion is terrible for the future survival of our species. The "it doesn't matter cause gawd will take care of it" folks are the most dangerous of them all. There's no imaginary man in the sky that's going to solve our problems. It's on us.

Who is against cleaner and cheaper energy, energy efficiency, and less trash? My high end tax customers are all going solar, led, Tesla, car charging stations. Would not mind a Tesla for a grocery getter. Wicked fast acceleration and fun to drive.

Tesla = walk home when you run outa battery or road trip 4 hours in any direction then 24hours charge to get another 185 miles, not my choice for a manly road trip

All this stuff about this that and the other thing. Everyone helped make the bed and we might s well lie in it. Climate change is real. Our Weather its iscontroll a lot but the oceans of the world they been steadily getting warmer. As far nice ages go they can come at anytime and rapidly if the Atlantic belt slows down or stops and it has been doing that for several years. Then there the Astroid belt. I would suppose most are aware we got the gulf of Mexico from one of those things lighting on the earth. I often think that is the tool God will use to get rid of us. Wrench is right IF your Christian and GOOD HONEST CHRISTIANS you do not have anything g to worry about. We live at the end of times. It is going to get worse and worse. I believe people today will believe anything. So does Trump

A guy here at work has one.  Wicked acceleration, like a sewing machine motor!!  It has the same acceleration at 60 to 100 as it does from 0 - 60.  You do not want to need it repaired though.  3 weeks last time for him and he had to rent a car while they had his.

Electric cars are way more intelligent for a lot of reasons. Sure there are some hurdles now but the only way to make it viable is to embrace it. Unfortunately those that stand to lose because they refuse to change have deep pockets and spread the ignorance.
