the hostility is on how one persons "sport" impacts others fun...wake boats can cause issues to anglers and lake property owners...I don't see fisherman causing issues with wake boats, kinda a one way street....conflict is not going away..just the FB person didn't need the hassle

I thought we had an option to "ignore" someone.  I don't know...

We do. But that just hides the ignored person's post with 'You've chosen to ignore content by XXX' but it also gives the tempting 'Options' right after that, which enables me to click and see the post. And, dang it, sometimes I click on it! Also, if anybody quotes the ignored one, it shows up.  Not a big deal -- just saying Facebook removes all traces of the blocked person like they don't exist. No temptations :D

The trouble is what happens when you find romance are something else on  face book. Many people out there are lonely. They are susceptible. What happens onface book just the start  Then comes up the phoning and what have you ,them finally the meeting. Young girl disappear like that. Then there are older women I sort of tried to protect them. There are guys on the internet who just love to find a older woman with a lot of money and get one of them to take him home and take care of him. That is not stealing her money if she lady gives it to you. Older women were worse than young girls. You see. She is alone all the kids grown and left and the husband is dead. Never seen one that was not lonely. There is one thing I learned in my time on there the two easiest things in the world are to make a young girl freel like a woman and make a old woman feel like a young girl. There are plenty of guys out there know just how to do that.

Wow! I just use it to keep in touch with old friends. I guess I’m doing it wrong.

You make the guys sound like the evil ones.  The guy NEVER comes out ahead in the end.  THEY are the ones needing support and protection, it aint the females!  😄

I hooked up with a gal online, we hit it off real well.  Next thing ya know I was mowing her rather large yard once a week, moving furniture, building fence, assembling a Bow-flex, installing a pool and a trampoline, entertaining her family and workmates, teaching her kids to shoot guns and bows, took them bike riding and fishing, replaced the gutters on her house, and even rubbed her fat little feet at the end of her shift.    Then....she started skipping work and meeting a New Florence Cop.    When her family and friends asked "What happened to Wrench", she told them "the relationship turned toxic".  🤔

Facebook doesn’t cause people to be douchebags. Don’t be ignorant and ignorant things won’t happen to you. I know ladies that have been taken advantage of by church deacons. Guess they are the devil’s work too.

The new definition of "Being Taken Advantage Of": A person comes into your life, does nice things for you.....and then decides to leave before you want them to.

It's pretty evident Facebook fishing groups are divisive and bring out the worst in people. I hate them. You post a pic of a fish you almost always get "why are you holding it like that? Did you release it? Why'd you use xyz bait?" It's ignorant and annoying. It'd be fine if it was done the right way, but it never is. Keyboard warriors. Franklin said "never insult somebody in public, you only make enemies." Insult them in private, sure.

Same with hunting groups. If you ever post a pic of a buck, you have more balls than I.
