Have Bass become Inetable ?

I’ve ate plenty but don’t see many keeping them anymore. See them chasing Shad and throw a Spinner catch plenty.

Just wondering if something is wrong with them.

Watching Fishing Shows and so far it has been how to catch Bass. I find it funny Bass are easy to catch, they don’t show how to catch other fish for the most part.

I havent eaten a small mouth or largemouth since i was a little kid. But if i catch some 12" spots when im at Bull Shoals crappie fishing i will take some home. I put them in the same bags as crappie and no one ever knows the difference once they are fried up

It's just money & mobility man. When I was a kid in the '60s, fish were purely a welcome, secondary food source. Dad built & stocked our ponds for 2 reasons; to keep erosion from wasting productive soil, and to provide additional food. The fact fish were fun to catch was cool, but not necessary to the  equation. The occasional community fish fries with friends and neighbors are some of my fondest memories.

Fast forward to 2018, when the NMMA evaluates the recreational boating industry alone at  $170B. Can't justify having a $50K fishing boat unless you use it a lot, right? And if you use it a lot you probably can't regularly keep your catch without negatively impacting your future fishing. It is what it is, and it ain't what it used to be.

I can't dance like I used to.

So in reality Big Name Hunters should be hunting Big Game with Paint Balls.

I'm sorry but I Hunt and Fish for our meat. Crazy with Bass, Gar and Carp are just as easy to catch and fight better.

People that pretend to not understand why anyone would go fishing if they don't intend to keep any, are irritating.  If I kept every legal sized fish that I caught, and then immediately stopped fishing when I got a limit, then I wouldn't be fishing very often.   A couple fish dinners per month is good but I don't want fish for dinner every single night....or even once every week, to be honest.

Just consider C&R as PRACTICE.

Successful Hunters practice at the range.

Gardeners practice too.

Man do I agree with this.  Clueless!

Speaking of irritating how about the person who has no experience fishing and yet tries to come off like they do.

Well, you see, there's this one spot on this one body of water, where they figured something out one day.  😂

That's ME on Gravois Creek. When I come strutting down the hill everyone around here knows that "School is Now In Session".  😎
