N9BOW Posted May 2, 2020 Author Posted May 2, 2020 OK.. out of garden.. Jumping back into the Frey! So restrictions are lifting....Which is good where applicable...... people are pissed and want a breath of fresh air.. AND I GET IT...I'M COPACETIC.. However, this thing is spiking with relaxing protocols.. Just look it up.. the data is out there...and I'm OK with managing the infection rate.. I think this is: "a manage the virus and the psyche of the public" as the psyche of the public is just as important as adjusting the curve for the hospitals (which I think we have achieved) As I have said several times..You're gonna get this!!!!... the trick is get it SMALL! (wear your FM and keep SD in mind).....France - is continuing lock down for 2 months as there has been a spike.... Mexico City is at capacity in its hospitals.... Its blossoming everywhere as expected.... with relaxed protocols..(OK we knew this... adjust as needed) I want things to return to normal...... but normal has a new realty...... I'm still waiting on medical findings as to what this sh@tstorm actually is.... So far CFR is looking like flu or less.... BUT.... Politics, Epidemiology, and the unknown (cause we don't have a clue what this dealy-bob is) our lives are in flux.... I think a mix of everything that's been done to date has been appropriate (but we have new data and need a modified plan - I think this is in place..lets see how states implement the data).. Local municipalities / Governors should be making calls for public safety and not politics.. I'm ok with limited restrictions in hot-spots and I'm OK with opening economies with proper social distancing protocols and personal protection enforcement (PPE) This is going to be a see-saw process...AS I SEE IT.. for the next 8 months at least.. BTW for those in the investing community, I'd be interested in hearing your perspective... As we can all take personal steps to mitigate the cr@pstorm that has affected out portfolios.... Folks might appreciate your views here! Me Personally I'm always open to different perspectives when it comes to preserving family, food stores, and capital. I manage my own 401k with an investment account but other use canned offerings from their employers... What are you doing and what are your results to date! (no investing advise is being solicited/offered.... - digest and decide at your own risk!) snagged in outlet 3 1

I’m hearing that the buying into the market during the valleys is about done and with no more new money left to come in, we will see another 2008. Up to 2 years of a lull is what I’m hearing. So maybe the buying opportunity will get really good but you better wait until things are much lower. All speculation of course. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

Having the virus does not mean that you end up in the hospital or die from it. The idea of getting it small is to minimize the amount of virus that you are exposed to initially. A smaller amount of virus will take a longer time to build in your system to the point where you are having full blown effects, like the fevers, flu-like systems, lung congestion, etc. The longer it takes for the virus to build to those levels the better able your body is able to develop the antibodies and other immune defense response to the virus. If you get a large amount of the virus, for example an infected person sneezes in your face, then your immune system may not be able to effectively respond in time to the virus before you get really sick. Go back to @snagged in outlet 3 example of exponential growth with the pennies in this thread or one of the others dealing with COVID discussions. Getting it small would be the equivalent of having 100 or 1000 pennies to start with instead of 10 or 100 million pennies. The reason that there are people that are infected but are asymptomatic is probably due to them getting a small exposure to the virus and their immune system was able to fight the infection. The idea behind the insistence of wearing cloth or masks that are not N-95 rated is to minimize the amount of virus that they are exposed to initially. They are not really being used to prevent people from getting the virus. Quillback, BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3 and 2 others 3 2

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 4, 2020 Root Admin Posted May 4, 2020 Good morning guys. Sorry I haven’t been part of the conversation. We’re trying to fix our sprinkler system ... digging in the dirt. Anyone else get hail yesterday? We got pounded.
