Regardless of whether mortality is 2% or 4% it's not the big one like in "The Stand".  Plenty serious enough to be sure and regardless of what dear leader has to say about it, the U.S. is non-exempt from Mother Nature.  We're going to get our share of sick people.  Thing is, I sure hope I don't get it but if I do I'd lot rather be sick here than in China or lots of other places.

Viruses are not equal, some are fairly stabke and some mutate easily.  Usually the ones that mutate easily tend to mutate themselves out of virulence and burn themselves out.  However there is always a chance for it to mutate into one that is extremely deadly.  Viruses are a scary and fascinating little parasites or whatever the proper description might be.

Stock market sure is spooked by this.

So are oil and gas prices.  Gas futures for March are at $1.36/gallon, usually retail gas prices will run about 40-50 cents more per gallon than the futures prices, at least in this area, also will need to see them hold for a while at this level, but we may see gas at anywhere from $1.86 to $1.76 here in NWA.

Jan. 2021 futures are at $1.27.

No joke.  Here's hoping for a quick recovery.

I believe that I am getting immune to the hype of any "new and deadlier " virus/ disease/ sickness/ etc.  Seems like the 'machine' produces news to divert the attention of the masses during each election cycle.   I'm not one sided politically, not blaming any side.  Just wonder what happens to the deadliest pandemic/epidemic things that seems to be the fad news.  Sorry, really not the place, but it was being discussed.

Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me)

I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)

Totally agree.  I'm not going to be concerned about it until someone I know personally comes down with it.   And I may not believe it THEN.  I'll initially suspect a misdiagnosis.

I'm with you.  It's the weather channel when a storm is coming.  Hype for hype's sake....

Everything now is "the big one".  Thanks Fred Sanford for helping me to be skeptical.
