Hopefully somebody left a note for the guy,  could literally be ignorance.  

Talked to a guy that launched there Sunday, said there were 10 rigs in the lot, he had to do a lot of maneuvering around them to get in the water.  

I'm surprised to see the courtesy dock is useable.

There are places to park besides right in the lot, might have to walk a ways.

I was told that either the Corp or the DNR can give you a hefty fine for leaving your trailer in the water like that, I guess grease and oil could potentially leak into the water

At the risk of sounding like an idiot. (Big surprise there.) 🤪 If you are not familiar with that ramp, it can be a little misleading. Especially if you don't know that those rocks are lining the parking lot. High water and lack of knowledge makes it look like you could launch anywhere along that parking lot.  Now I have a little familiarity with it. not a problem... And like Jeff said. There are other places to park besides that lot.

Ramp at old 86 and the parking are extremely close at all times.  Unusable right now.  Almost everyone will launch and then pull their truck/trailer to the side so you can back straight in,  leaving the two slots directly above the ramp open, for launching and backing the boat down the ramp.

Absolutely love all my friends from the Natural State, but if the two slots or even one of them is taken it is away's a Arkansas plate, without fail, or some out of state fool with a Ford 350 pulling a pontoon trailer. 

Mentioned this to McClelland and he said Missouri people were the dumb ones for leaving the easiest parking spot open.  Guess he has a  point.

I'm gong to blame this on the Corp  as you at one time could launch 2 at a time there.  They enhanced the shoreline with rocks to prevent erosion frankly where there was none or would never be any and caused this type of a jam.  Should have left the ramp open to its full capacity.

On another note, at 7:30 this morning in a down pour with lighting and hail coming down a bass boat zoomed from the North and went up Long Creek.  Simply unbelievable.

When they decided to dump that rock and took it from being able to launch from either side of the courtesy dock down to just one side........plain idiotic. But that's what you get when the government is in charge of handling such matters. Logic and sense usually goes right out the window. Congress is no exception.

They did the rock thing on Bull Shoals and at Tucker there was practically no room to pull up your boat to bank if by yourself except on rocks. I got the number of the guy in charge and called him. He was real proud they had spent 1/2 million on rocks to "cut down on erosion" at different ramps on the lake.  I explained they pretty well stopped a guy going by himself to tucker and the bank they were protecting was basically a rock slab anyway. If erosion was a problem then why not do the whole lake shore. This was before there was a ramp at tucker. Someone put in a ramp and they then took out the rocks on the south side. You can't guess what they will do.  Not sure what they did to other ramps. I do know they put some in at diamond city that were dangerous to lower units if you couldn't see them when water got high. Have you ever tried to use the high water ramp at diamond city? It's terrible esp. at night. I how this table Rock' s forum side but their engineers must be going  to same school.

not if it is properly sealed.  plus, most new trailers have a completely sealed run in oil hub.  

now if you do not have good buddy bearing and not exactly the right seal, then you need to service your wheel bearing more often, at least twice a year.  then you will not worry about leaving the wheels submerged once in a while when it is necessary.  kind of like why your reels need to be cleaned way more often than most do.

Ive just been stranded before on the side of the road with a blown bearing and want to take every precaution for i to not happen again.  I have new bearing in my trailer and every couple weeks i squirt grease in i see a little bit of water come out. The boat i have now has brakes and to get to the bearing it takes more tools than i care to carry to remove the hub to get to them.  Wiring sitting underwater never sits good with me either.  Yes it should be soldered and heat shrink, but most the time on older rigs it isnt.     Im not trying to be dick,  just a quicker recipe for failure in my opinion.

No mattter if we agree or not im still gonna throw Nutech Jigs. LOL
