How so? Canada is doing MUCH better at dealing with COVID-19 than we are here in the states, So is Germany, and much of the rest of the developed world. Our numbers have been among the worst in the world so far. Lots of it is the cost of personal freedom in our society vs more restrictive governments, but our healthcare system is far from a shining beacon on a hill right now, despite the heroic efforts of our front line docs and nurses.

Well, China, France, Italy and Spain ain't doin' so hot for starters.

Nor are Hong Kong and Singapore.

I believe all of those are high on the top ten list.

And if you believe the numbers coming out of Germany then that makes one of us. Those numbers don't come out of Berlin but are put out by the individual states and many think they're highly suspect.

While our healthcare ain't perfect I believe it will be proven to be the best in the world (still) when this is over with.

I call people who gripe about conditions in the good old USA Whoopie wannabe's.  Whoopie was one who claimed she was going to move to Canada if Trump got elected. But yet she remains here and continually bitchin.  Seriously, if you don't like things here, then by all means move to another one of those great countries that you claim to be better than the USA.  Then report back on this thread in 5 years.  Can't wait to hear from you.

Yeah, I'd love to see what "opportunities" await Whoopie Goldberg in Afghanistan.  I'm sure she'd be treated like royalty there.

Amen. Just because someone can sing a pop song, tell a joke, act in a movie, throw or catch a sportsball, does not make their opinion on anything outside of their alleged area of expertise valid.

IMHO, one of the glaring problems with our society that this whole coronavirus thing is showing is that we undervalue expertise. In the age of the youtube video, everyone is a self proclaimed expert. True expertise and craftsmanship still matters. Paying dues to get REALLY good at something, still matters. Maybe a lasting benefit we can take from this is getting back to respecting others who actually know more about certain subjects than we do...

The fact that it was Farrah Faucet before her, parades my broad scope of twisted turn-ons.     Boy oh boy, would Farrah have been pissed if she had caught me bending Madonna over my mom's kitchen table.      Whew, that woulda been bad!  I'm guessing that Mom wouldn't have stuck up for me either.
