Not everyone has been schooled on ethical fishing and boat handling.

I'm still hearing stories of guys all pissed off because they got cut off and such during the Big Bass Bash.   It's as if people think that is a professional level event or something.  No man, it's open to anyone that has a fishing pole and can afford the entry fee.

The same expectation should apply to any random day on public water. I mean you saw all the vehicles in the parking lot before you launched, right?   Did you really expect that they were all out there being outstanding ethical sportsmen? 🙄

I mean, who walks into a rowdy bar expecting to be escorted to a chair?

You should have a BFer boat shoot up your best carp spot...have the best fish go from mid teen average with a few 20s....to lucky to break 10....

or watch said boat poach a few walleyes

I kind of fast forwarded through the video and I didn’t see anything bad.  Did I miss it??

Start about the 3:10 mark. You can tell they're close in the video but I could have touched the hulls of their kayaks with my rod as they paddled past me. I wouldn't have been able to go any further as it turned out because there was a bank fisherman I hadn't seen, but it didn't stop them from going on and paddling all over in the little waterfall pool where he was trying to fish.

Happens all the time on the river.  I fish at the end of the commercial float sections and when I see the first yak or canoe I know the day is over.  It’s not against the law or anything but a little common curtesy would be nice.

Crappie fishermen are the worst around here (other than recreational kayakers). If I'm fishing something where they think there's crappie, they have no issues pulling up and stopping on top of where I'm fishing. I think maybe it's because they're more social fishermen than bass guys are. Me, I'm antisocial to the point I'll leave a good spot or bite if someone pulls up close. Good thing about having weekdays off I guess.

I've had too many encounters with folks this year that are just taking up water sports that just don't know better, these kayakers were at a local lake while I was just trying to unwind after work and I about lost it.

Enjoyed the video and agree fully ... solitude is always a dream of mine when I go fishing. :)

Agreed. That's why I just turn and leave. It does no good to blow up on them, then I'm just in the wrong too. Although they aren't technically doing anything wrong, a guy would like to think someone would have a little common sense and courtesy, but that doesn't seem to be a thing anymore.
