I have not heard of that one, I will have to look it up.

Good info here. https://www.in-fisherman.com/editorial/five-fish-lures-ultimate-ned-jig/360813

I really like the weedguard and the hook size. Found some on the tackle rack in the K.C. Harter House last spring before I left for the tundra. I had to laugh when I found them. I can guarantee you there is no fishing tackle in any grocery store in my neck of the woods. 😄

For Neds I think Bo's NuTech crappie jig head is pretty dang good too and about impossible to lose due to hangups.

Need to pick up some of those. Not only for Ned's but for actual crappie fishing as well. I've only ever used his standard bass jigs and I'll never use anything else so long as he keeps making them.

Wow I checked out some of the jigs you guys are buying.  That makes me glad that I have a couple of Midwest Finesse jig molds and pour my own.

This is why I haven't been throwing it for the most part.  I was spending a fortune and even if I get it hung up, I rarely lose a regular jig.  My keeper ratio was very low with the ned too.  I haven't given up on it, but it's not in the regular rotation currently.

After reading this thread a couple of times I got to thinking about my Ned heads.  I started with #1 and #2 hooks but got a good buy on 1000 1/0 gammy hooks and moved to them.  They are super on Stockton but Table Rock eats them up.  So I decided to go back to the #2 while I am not fishing Stockton right now.  I made up a dozen to try next time out.

The 5 Fish head is really good,  it would be fantastic without the collar as the collar splits the  worm without fail. I cut off the collar and glue the bait directly to the head. Very few hang ups and great feel. I just dislike fishing that way, but love a jig. Who knows the difference. It’s all in my mind

Great looking heads! Is that a twisted wire guard? Do you have an excess I can take off your hands?

I guess I am always going to be the iconoclast ; I got some of the 5 fish jigheads like 18 months ago. I thought I would love them. I do not. I will not be buying more. I wouldn’t even take free ones.
when available, Fish Arrow makes some decent ones, but DO NOT leave a Zinker on them. The hook will quickly get degraded by the salt.
I like the Berkeley 1/2 heads. Also hard to get these days. No weed guard, but that’s not always a problem. They work well with a man plastic
