Hiding in your bathroom when a tornado hits your house is as effective as a cloth mask at catching a virus, thanks for proving masks are ineffectual

So in your world, every house that gets hit everybody dies?

Well that’s a new blow on the world of stats and facts!

I will never get it. I don't care if its the flu, Covid, strep, stomach bug, whatever. IF YOUR SICK AND YOU KNOW IT DONT COME TO WORK

Suddenly the world has changed.   For all of my life, people were considered worthless losers if they didn't show up everyday for work unless they truly had one foot in the grave.

Now it's acceptable to skip out over a hangnail.  😏

We had someone come to work last week. Said their spouse was on quarantine and pending a covid test.

The spouse had been sent home earlier in the week due to contact at work and while at home had developed the full range of symptoms.

Someone asked," why are you here". The response was, "we don't have the results of the covid test yet so I am okay to come to work until they are positive. At this point I feel fine, just noticed yesterday I have loss of smell but so far that's no big deal."

2 days onsite, with a highly likely positive case at home, with symptoms. All for a job that is 100% computer based with the option to WFH for the last year.

I will never get it. I don't care if its the flu, Covid, strep, stomach bug, whatever. IF YOUR SICK AND YOU KNOW IT DONT COME TO WORK.

That individual should have immediately been required to leave the building, by a supervisor.  CDC guidelines do not use only positive COVID test, 15 minutes cumulative exposure unmasked over I believe 48 hrs, for reccomend ed quarantine.

What if they could just work from home and not pass it around?  Cold, flu or whatever....

Yeah I mean the entire department has the option to WFH, all computer based work, and this person has worked from home before(most of 2020 at least).

They were sent home eventually......but this all comes down to personal responsibility. They knew they were highly at risk based on their spouses condition, knew they had 1 symptom and still chose to come to work for a day+ until they said something and it got reported.
