Great articles RPS! Has been a while since I first read them. Might have been on the old Stockton Lake Forum?? Anyway, back then I tied several harnesses like Chucks. Next time I get to Stockton, I'm gonna try one again.

I also use flipping reels. A left hand and right hand. That way I can hold both rods if it gets deeper flipping switch, shallower use my knees to crank. Power Pro with mono here as it floats along with the floats on the spinners. 1 1/2 weights mostly. With second person fishing in back 2oz in front and 1 1/2 in back. When bouncing I use transom lss to watch bouncers. My 2 cents

I've had pretty good luck with Everstart 29DCs from Walmart. $100 and you can get them anywhere. Batteries aren't what they used to be, seems like you're lucky to get a couple seasons out of them, regardless of the price.

I've got two 29DCs and a Terrova 80 and can pull cranks all day at 2MPH on speed 5-7. 

For heavy trolling you really want some stout batteries, no smaller than 27s. 29s or 31s are ideal IMO.

Have never gone past 1.mph -1.5 using electric motor bottom bouncing is it

I'll have to say I've only been walleye fishing once in my life and it was up in Canada and we would bottom bounce for them in 6'-10' of water using the outboard to troll with and it didn't spook the fish at all on a remote lake that doesn't see many boats.  Not sure if Missouri fish spook easier but I wouldn't think so with the boat traffic on our lakes.

Bottom bouncing has been good to me lately. I’ve found a 7’ medium heavy rod with 30 lbs braid is perfect for the 3 oz weights used here. I use line counter reels or a line counter on my rod.
