Unfortunayely I doubt the MDC actually has any finite data that proves whether or not the work. As far as enforcement goes I feel that as an officer you should be able to learn/remember the regs regardless. They can't be that complicated. I personally disagree with river tournaments and don't think they should really be promoted. Rivers fish too small for there to be tournaments on in my opinion. As far as keeping people off small streams if the trend continues with "YouTubers" plastering creeks all over the web, I think that land owners are about start letting air out of tires or worse. I did NOT make this post to argue or stir the pot. I just thought maybe we could voice our opinion to MDC. Since I seem to already have stirred it, the left is coming for all your guns, the right is killing everyone with covid, and who wants to talk religion? Lol (all totally a sarcastic joke) Couldnt agree more with all of the idiots posting videos on youtube just trying to become youtube famous and get their channels monetized. There are a couple of these idiots on the FB Missouri smallie/trout pages constantly spamming with their vids. Drives me crazy. Gavin
Do what you can to get rid the world of Youtube fisherfolk & hunters. Stop watching & unsubscribe from Youtube hunting and fishing channels, never fish/hunt with those who bring a GoPro, and last but not least.... DONT LINK THEIR YOUTUBE CHANNELS! The more hits they get, the more they make! Greasy B, SpoonDog, tjm and 1 other
Flysmallie
There is some amazing fishing content on YouTube. But I get what y’all are saying. Trust me though, most of those guys will flame out in short order. It’s a lot of work if you do it right and want to make some money off of it. FishnDave
Finding public access to streams is a big issue, IMO. I can understand why landowners wouldn't want the liability of letting folks fish on their property. What if the MDC / DNR used some of their funds each year to purchase more access? Takes the liability away from the landowner, and the trashy eyesore it may become will not be the (former) landowner's problem anymore. Or, as someone else mentioned, change river and stream laws with the stroke of a pen without spending a dollar. Public access between high water/top of bank on all MO streams that typically have year-round flow. David Goddard and nomolites

When in the history of EVER has a landowner been sued by someone they allowed to fish on their property ? I've heard that crap 1000 times, but has it ever actually happened? I bet not. I've ripped some wicked gashes in my hide crossing fences, hurt my legs falling in holes, and such....but never once did it occur to me that I should seek legal action against the landowners. Surely that isn't a REAL thing that actually happens often.
