That largemouth is about as big a fish I've seen on this forum in a while, very nice. Fishing has been more than tough from what I hear so you should be proud of your day. Ya gotta love that spook, I don't own a clear one

Oh my gosh..... You got to get you a clear one, or 2, or 3...When  you are fishing clear calm water.... Just sayin'....

Actually, it wasn't that deep. The really brown smallies always seem to bleed a lot.....

If you carry the granular Rejuvenade, you can pour it generously on the wound, then put the fish in the livewell for a half-hour or so and the bleeding will usually stop. Seems to have a clotting agent in it. Donna learned this while co-angling with Jacob Powroznik several years back in an FLW Tour stop on Beaver Lake.
