I wish they'd take one of those badass electron microscopes that they bought with taxpayer dollars, and give one of those little spikey buggers a hit off of a Marlboro, a splash of Devil's Cut, and a sniff of carb cleaner and maybe some old gear lube...... And then let's see how perky he is.  🤔

My point was polio is spread in a significantly different way. We're comparing apple to kumquats here when we talk about smallpox and polio.

Certainly and it was a much worse disease than this is back in childhood days. Not an exact comparison. Rabies being a corona virus and it's vaccine might work better for that comparison, But the fact remains that a real vaccine does immunize. 

However the problem is we don't have a real vaccine and the virus mutates often enough that we probably never will have. I guess we don't even have a real treatment  for it either, my wife's Dr, just said to isolate, rest and take fluids, etc. We loaded up with all the usual anti-cold/flu vitamins and managed to come through with rather mild symptoms. For 70+ we did OK, but it appears that the treatments are only for hospital disease. We need to call it a day and move on. This virus is part of living, stop the politics.

I've been a "peace & love" guy my whole 63+ years. That said, I do have a short hate list... liars. Murderers, rapists, child molesters are all despicable criminals, but liars have a category all their own. Doesn't matter if you're the original  liar or just sharing someone else's lie, (even if you believe it), you're a dirty stinking liar. It's exponentially worse when your lies hurt people.

That leaves a burden on everyone to actively chase credible, objective information, and be prepared (and willing) to do a 180 if that information leads you there. Follow up the bibliography and source links to verify (then check them out) If that info isn't provided, it's BS. Quit pretending to know stuff you don't. Sometimes the way to be most helpful is knowing when to stfu.

Careful there, fishermen are some of the biggest liars.  You are slinging alot of mud.
