The bad thing is that this was my first time up in that area and I will never stay there again.  I love the rock, it is my favorite lake in the state, but this did put a damper on that love.  I will stay at my normal places from now on.

As far as insurance, contact your provider.  My boat policy covers only the boat trailer motor and trolling motor.  Everything that is put into or on is covered by my home owners policy.  That deductible, for me, is $5000 so there is no reason for making a claim.  I am just out and lesson learned.

Sux!!   Yeah my home owner deductible is like that too.   I’ve watched boats come into the dock at our condo at night with lights off.  I see lots of boats in our dock with all their stuff laying out.

Arkansas posted last week that thieves were busting windows out of cars in State Park areas and cleaning the cars out.  With prices so high, the Meth Heads have to work harder to keep up.

Actually they are running late. Could not be more sorry and I know your pain. I made the same mistake ONCE.

Eagle Rock, Shell Knob,  Baxter and Cape Fair are the worst on the Rock. Usually dead of winter when its cold

About 15 years ago I had all my stuff stolen while having lunch at our Shell Knob lake home in the middle of the day.

Boat at the dock just after a guide trip. Had another trip in the afternoon and walked up to the house about 70 yards for 45 minutes. Came down and boat was totally stripped.

Lake of the Ozarks and Table Rock are two of the worst in the country.

You leave it you lose it. Not if but when.

Sorry

West side of 13 in Kimberling is pretty bad too.

Use the same tactics they do.  Sit and wait for them to come around, then zap them.

You may talk to your insurance agent about an added policy that covers contents, I have 5k in boat contents that costs about another $25 annually. If I remember correctly. I know it's too late but could be helpful for someone.

Looking to buy a lake view home and looked at Eagle Point at Baxter last week. One guy I talked to said at least 15 cars that were not garaged were broken into last week and contents sold. Boat dock in Red Barn also was ravished.

They are out and about right now guy, protect yourself.

You guys getting ready to sell B&B? What are you and Becky going to do?

Haven't said anything yet as I don't want to jinx it, but, it's pending right now to hopefully close in April.

We have a small lake home at Shell Knob, to live in till we buy or build.

Becky has closed the B&B and we are working on a few upgrades the new buyers want.

I'm guiding a little bit, but just to much to do here at the Lodge.
