Where is the pride in catching  10-15lber if someone else takes you to them and tells you what to throw and how.

You could be proud that it didn't require owning/licensing/maintaining/towing/insuring/fueling a boat.  😋

Its the livescope principle......just because someone takes you there....tells your what to do, when to do it, and how to do it....the fish still has to bite. The only person that gets credit for that is the guy holding the rod.

I get what you mean. I think finding the fish is more of a skill than catching them. Look at the elites, every guy on that trail can catch fish, its who FINDS the big ones wins

I’m with @aarchdale@coresleep.com    It can take Lots of time and reading structure and water to find big ones.  Unless of course you just haphazardly stumble onto them.  That’s where skill and persistence  pay off.  Once you find them they will bite eventually.    But they can’t bite if you never have a bait in front of one.

Finding and catching "bass' has never really been a problem for me. 

It's finding and catching BIGGER BASS that has always been the main obstacle. 

When you're consistently catching 2-3 pounders with the occasional 4-5...... Whaddya do to consistently catch 3-4 pounders with the occasional 6-7 ? 

Riddle me THAT !
