Can't save money, can't do much of anything.  At least they saved the sun.

I'm back to driving straight into the sun right now. Had a reprieve for a couple of weeks until the time change.

When we lived in N. Ireland during the winters I would drive into work in the dark and then drive home in the dark. It was then I realized why many Irish drink😅

Same reason there is a Starbucks on every corner in Seattle.  From a latitude perspective it is pretty far north, makes for some short days in the winter.  I liked it, could be out on the river for winter steelhead at 0730 for first light.

Hey Jeff The state of Washington closed all steelhead fishing in 2022.

I don't follow it like I used to, but the coastal rivers always held a good run of late winter/early spring wild fish.  Numbers have been dwindling for years despite closures and literally billions of dollars poured into restoration efforts in the northwest for salmon and steelhead.  Sad to see, but I don't think they'll ever come back in significant numbers.

The older I get, the more I hate the jacking around with the time.  Fall really sucks, end up waking an hour early and tossing around till alarm time.  Takes till about Jan to get over that.

My schedule is pretty regular.  Mon-Fri, wake at 5:40, bed by 9:30 during Standard time.  Pretty much the same during Daylight saving time, but usually outside till dark.

If I had my way, it would be Standard Time all of the time, but, as usual, Congress dicked that up.

I’m on about the same sleep schedule as you.  Some days I wake up earlier some a little later.  No need for an alarm when you get old😂
