jdmidwest
Saw this article on Fishing Tackle Retailer for Powerbait Noodling Gloves. I have fished many ways, but I am not sticking a scented glove on and poking it into a hole for a big cat to chomp onto. One size fits all and several colors of Green Pumpkin • Chartreuse • Firecraw • Bruised • White-Tail. I guess the bruised color imitates the last guy that stuck his hand in there and the fish thinks "well, if he is dumb enough to do it again". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4MLekqKT5U Daryk Campbell Sr and JestersHK 1 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Terrierman
It's not that big of a deal unless you jerk your hand out, then you can get scraped up a little bit. It's legal in Oklahoma. grizwilson

fishinwrench
My brother and I did some noodling in our younger days, back before it was actually legal. Scented gloves aren't going to do anything to improve your success. Matter of fact I don't think you could do it the way we did with any kind of gloves on. You have to be able to feel water movement, and you have to be able to feel along the fish to tell which way it's laying. Can't do that with gloves.....much less any kind of clothing on. jdmidwest
It was a thing here for a season or two, then shut down. Arkansas had it also. Just never had the urge, don't eat catfish either much. JestersHK
I went a few times when I was a young teenager with my crazy cousins... I only ever pulled one out and that was enough for me as I figured with my luck I'd find a snapper or snake sticking my hand in underwater holes in muddy murky water. I think I'd do a trip with the guides who have the areas better marked and the fish hotels setup where they are more easily accessible and you're not diving down in muddy water... I dunno would prolly still need some liquid courage to do it Quillback, Daryk Campbell Sr, Terrierman and 2 others 4

At least once.😉 JestersHK
Quillback
A few years ago there was a noodling show on one of the outdoor channels. It was a competition, there was a weigh-in somewhere in OK, I can't remember where. Several two person teams would fan out and noodle, they could go anywhere as long as they made it back to the weigh-in site on time. Sort of a noodling reality show. I think it only ran for a year. It was entertaining. As for myself, I have zero interest in noodling. bfishn, JestersHK, Daryk Campbell Sr and 1 other
Flysmallie
We did a lot of noodling in high school in Oklahoma. Never did the lake stuff, we just stuck to the creeks. Not too dangerous if you forget about the snapping turtles, snakes, beavers, etc. biggest we ever tangled with was just shy of 50 pounds that came out of a small creek.
