We Are In Trouble

Yesterday I was at one of our local Colleges. 

I had worked there back in the  '80's yes then they was very racist and liked to party. 

Now they are really not interested in working go to College and better than the other people. 

I in the past felt you went to school to make money and better society.  Now you go to school as a Job. 

Know couple that have went to College there one has went 8 years both maxed out their Student Loans and not worried about paying them back. 

Sorry if this is political just an observation and has me worried about our future society.

That’s a pretty broad generalization.  My youngest just graduated from Rolla last year.  Her and her group of six friends all had full-time job offers as juniors from their internships.  All went to work the first week they were out of college.  Good engineering jobs too.

Many of those offers are scam agents, they find out when they need to pay upfront for work relayed things

What are you talking about?  Mastercard?  City Corp?   Spectrum?   Scams😂😂.  They’ve all been working since last year.

NO! Telling a new employee they have upfront costs…like for a corp laptop/software you give up 1500 bucks to never hear from them again

You gotta quit smoking crack. Plenty of good jobs out there and plenty of good kids coming out of high school, trade schools, and college. You guys one to find one or two idiots and call it the norm. YOU are part of the problem.

Middle grandson graduated from Missouri State 2 years ago with degree in environmental management.  Worked every summer, saved his money, lived in our tiny house out back, lived like he always did when not in class.  Didn't go to Florida on Spring Break trips, just generally acted like he wasn't some entitled rich kid.  Worked in the field since he graduated.  His student loans are already paid off.

He and his fiancé are fixing up an older house they're buying to live in after they get married this September.  She's an enterpeneur and has a successful business with an event venue she bought and fixed up, does events all over the area setting up for wedding receptions, parties and so on.  Has a little trailer photo booth that is way popular.  They're both good looking smart hard workers who are going to do well in life and be great parents.

Yeah, we are in trouble.  In some places sure, but not everywhere.

It's always hilarious to me when older folks attack the newest generation when, in reality, your generation is the reason younger people went into and are in such a bad way. Most, not all, have such an antiquated mindset on every single socioeconomic issue.
