My time to get out and fish has dwindled down to just about nothing now as I am a full time dad to a crazy and beautiful 12 year old who is already just about a professional dancer. My wife has decided to go back and get her Psyche certificate as the market has exploded for senior psyche. Between her running a super busy practice and back in school and driving my daughter to dance 7 days a week I have basically fallen off the face of the earth it seems but, such is my life right now.

with that being said I have been relegated to being able to fish within a certain vicinity of where I live in St Louis County and that presents its challenges.
Here is a long 18 inch Spot that ate my 5.5 inch 1.2oz swim bait, the heck with finesse them 😜

I hope you all have been well and Been getting on some fish and making some memories.

Glad you are getting out and catching big fish!  The fish will wait for you. :)

I know I am a baby about it…..when you go to bed every single night of your life dreaming and thinking  about fishing and then don’t actually go that much it becomes weird on certain levels. You’re right though the rivers and fish will still be there when I get some time lol

One of these days you will wake up and all those kids are gone. You will be able to go fishing whenever you want but you will want to go to dance lessons instead. I know you will say "No that will never be me", but it will.

Well it will never be ME !

I'd rather smoke a turd in purgatory !

Having a great family is a big deal. So take care being dad! Like @FishnDave said the fish will still be there when you can get back after them routinely.

Congrats on that big spot! When I saw the post title and who posted it, I thought that it was a little early to be fishing the urban trout ponds 😅

Bro, I've been living that life for many years.   They tell me I'll get bored once the kids move on, 22, 15, and 12 year olds.  I laugh in their face.  I have so many options that need to be explored.  And on top of that, I have so many other states that need to be explored.

Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me)

I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)

Agreed 100% my wife and have plans trust me we will be living on water here soon enough lol she is demanding it basically and she is the bread winner in this family unit. We have started construction on a home on a 1.5 acre lot on an 80 acre lake in St Francois County that faces the Southwest but, we aren’t going to move there while we sell our place here in Kirkwood, then we will hopefully have her ultimate property by then lol and yeah we need to travel as well hahaha
