Strangest thing ever found while on the water????

The Dirt Devil that appears to be possessed by the Devil did finally trip the circuit breaker or GFCI when it stopped running.  You could tell it was really slowing down and am sure eventually windings in the motor melted and shorted out.  I tried turning the breaker back on to see if the show would continue but it was apparently game over!  The breaker wouldn't reset until the vacuum was unplugged.  I seemed to keep going through outdoor GFCI outlets every few months so finally put in a standard outlet without GFCI and replaced the circuit breaker with a GFCI/breaker unit inside the panel.  This seems to work great and not need replacement every few months.  It is a sealed box but guess enough moisture gets inside that the GFCI doesn't like it.  There was one time I picked up an older extension cord and felt a slight tingle.  The breaker tripped immediately so I know it works.  That cord went in the scrap pile to be recycled.

I lost a nice pocket knife on a Courtois gravel bar. My name was engraved on the blade. About 3 years later a friend called, had found my knife.

Possibly the strangest and certainly the most disconcerting sight I've seen was a jon boat. I was fishing below the Beaver Lake dam and saw the boat. It was maybe 10 feet up in a big tree wrapped around the trunk. I still have a hard time imagining what the river was like when that happened.

We launched at Schooner Creek when there was a ramp.  A young couple with a red aluminum boat and a white suv came in as we were leaving.  When we came back by a boat trailer was floating.  As we got to it there was a white suv directly below it and no boat in sight.  The young couple was talking to a guy in the parking lot.  After we finished fishing and pulled out everything was gone.

We found this on the Niangua. We set it up here and left it. I did some research and found that the original burial place was in Springfield. No idea how that ended up where it is.
