Gamakatsu sells a barbless treble. I swapped mine out on my trout jerkbaits, but I kinda got burnt out on trout. Mostly.

As I bend them and need to replace I use barbless.   But I’m going through 4 boxes of jerks, cranks and topwaters.    Thx, @Terrierman these are legit!!!

BTW.   I would show you all the boxes but I don’t want to release that kind of fish catching power to the general public 😂.    Our fisheries can’t handle it.

If our fisheries can handle FFS, I think it would be ok, but I understand.

@Terrierman@snagged in outlet 3 Gentlemen, the photos need an object for reference..... as I greatly respect you both as fishermen and friends, Ladybear was greatly disappointed in the size of the tool for the price..... not the first time.....

Cheap Needle nosed pliers work fine. Less than $5 maybe $10 with a can on wd40.

I respectfully disagree.  Not without a bunch of twisting and different angles of attack.   Definitely don’t work good enough to pass the paper test.  It’s best when the barb just snaps off completely.   But that doesn’t always happen.  Those might be poorly tempered.

I remember hearing tales about a Arkansas F&G agent that kept a pair of pantyhose in his pocket to check barbless hooks on the White.

Was that actually true ?

Used a piece of cloth on us.  Thinking back.  It had to be 25-30 years ago now.  That’s crazy to think about that.
