Johnsfolly Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Hey Pete - I would likely say that most of the ones that you have caught are southern flounder. Definitely some nice catches buddy! I love catching flounder. dpitt and snagged in outlet 3 2
snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 24 Author Posted April 24 Went back this morning. Wednesday the 24th. Got there right on high tide. Caught one dink. That’s it. No birds, no mullet and the wind howled 25 mph or better. Sand Covered my tracks from walking in. I think the night is a lot higher. Like 3 or 4 feet higher. The day I caught the nice ones the water was clear and bluish green. Ever since, it’s been murky dirty colored. 🤷♂️ On a side note, there was a super hot IG model doing a photo shoot right after sunrise. Sorry @Johnsfolly, I couldn’t bring myself to snap a photo. Seemed creepy in a perverse kind of way. Had a big crew with her. She looked cold 😁. Flysmallie, Johnsfolly, bfishn and 2 others 4 1

I've had flounder rolls in restaurants. Roll a fillet around some stuffing, bake it and pour some kind of sauce over it. Never made it, just ate it, so I could not tell you how it's done. Probably a recipe out there on the web. snagged in outlet 3 and bfishn 2

That's the only mention of having to share your spot with anyone, and there's no one in the pictures. Do none of the locals fish there? I can't dance like I used to.

I didn’t want to associate with them too much because they were using bait😂 Terrierman, fishinwrench, Foghorn and 1 other 1 3

Do none of the locals fish there? Tge only way in there is through the resorts and condos. All of them are fenced with key card access. The public beach parking is about a mile and a half away. A guy stopped and talked to me and told me he saw a kayaker in there once. Everyone I’ve seen fishes in the surf. bfishn, Johnsfolly and Quillback 2 1

snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 26 Author Posted April 26 Went back this morning. Weakest tide all week. Not a bite. @bfishn jinxed me. Two guys showed up after high tide. I fished till water had dropped about a foot. Maybe 40 minutes total. The two guys never got a bite either. I asked several surf fishermen if they caught any today. Nada! Headed home tomorrow and I hope to be back at Tablerock in a week or two.
