  1. "I was told". With the advent of social media lots of unsupported comments get passed on as fact. A ROW is typically granted by a landowner for a specific use. Providing public access is typically not one of them. As such the landowner can choose to allow the public access or not. The way most people treat public accesses by leaving trash, tearing up the property, dumping, vandalism, etc. I can completely understand why landowners close the access points. The State would be better off buying the property to allow for public access.

    What's Cooking?

A few finishing nails across the end where the trap hits will assist in keeping a good hold on larger vermin.
  3. Can't you go in and close the accounts and take the check to Schwab?
  4. Wrench will trick it out so Sugarbritches will want to cut the grass. I'm thinking a nice Pepto-Bismol pink paint, sound system, etc.

Did you have to blanche the corn prior to vac packing and sealing? Would love access to a sweet corn field.
  6. Sounds like an awesome adventure.
  7. Prayers for his family and friends during this tough time. May he RIP.
  8. I put Cajun Red on as the backing and then about 60 yards of braid. When you start seeing the red you know you are getting close to a re-spool with the braid.
  9. You need some mousers wrench. Got to keep the mice out of the boats. Guess that might cut down on work to do though. 😀
  10. Hadn't heard Yogi was in Camdenton. Betting Boo Boo is on his way.
  11. Saw this on Bass Blaster and thought Wrench might want to read it. Link to study https://cdnsciencepub.com/doi/abs/10.1139/cjfas-2020-0442 Quote of the Day "Our results reveal both non-tournament and tournament angling mortality are low compared to natural mortality in some lakes." - Dang straight! From an IA (I think?) study: > Average total annual mortality was 0.66 with natural mortality representing the largest mortality source (0.57) followed by delayed tournament mortality (0.06), non-tournament angling mortality (0.02), and initial tournament mortality (0.006). > Our results reveal both non-tournament and tournament angling mortality are low compared to natural mortality in some lakes. Therefore, cumulative angling mortality likely has minimal population level effects on some bass populations.
  12. My Dad used to take us up to the UP every year when school got out. For years we fished brookies in the Fence river and its tributaries around Republic, MI. Also used to go into a small lake known as Just lake. Caught a 26 inch brookie out of there. Then we went around Gladstone and Rapid River area and fished the primarily the East Branch of the Whitefish. Also caught a bunch of walleye out of Little Bay De Noc.
  13. Green persimmons were good for throwing. Probably should not have launched a covert operation on the man painting his birdhouse from a step ladder. What seemed funny at the time was no longer funny when we were tracked down at our tree fort and escorted home by the local pd.
  14. If you are close to KC I am interested. PM me.
  15. Wondering if the funeral home just wanted its money upfront and thinks reimbursement by Uncle Sam would be quicker than waiting on insurance company.
  16. Prayers for Bo from here
  17. Most folks from StL also inquire what school you went to. Except they mean high school
  18. Prayers from here
  19. 2/3 of a pun. PU
  20. As well as the lures that were available in different eras.
  21. Hard to compare the guys from different eras. All the new electronic gadgetry has made some of these guys real good. Take all that away from them and throw them back in the days of Clunn, Parker, KVD in his prime and see how they'd do. Totally different ballgame today.

    Dog dump

Gold toe nails and all. Not a fan of that breed. More than likely some backyard breeder tired of feeding them. Cage the breeder.
  23. So much is "Out of Stock" these days.
  24. So sorry to hear this. Hope the reds are biting.
  25. Looks like a great day and a lot of fun. How deep you fishing Nedly?
