fishinwrench Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 There are these things called Grinders, and Files. If you ever get a chance to play with them you'll find that "tools" can be improved upon really easily. ? Bass Yakker, crazy4fishin, nomolites and 2 others 5

fishinwrench Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I think the ones I have are "Frabil" (cheapest POS on the market) and after some tweeking they work great. Actually the softer metal on the cheap ones makes it easier to bend and conform. You don't need high temper steel to do stuff that a fingernail can do. ?

I've always loved the Owner Hyper Wire. Owners are good. I almost always replace round split rings on crank eyes with wire snaps. The BPS ones I mentioned work similarly but the lower jaw without the hook doesn't have the lip that grabs the ring so it just falls off usually and is extremely frustrating. TRIM_20170220_133329.mp4 Holy cats, now I don't know if I've been using inferior tools or if I'm just the most inferior manipulator of said tools in the entire history of tool manipulating. Thanks for that. At least I now have a much better idea of how I'm SUPPOSED to be doing it. "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." Ham Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I love them for the nose of a bait ONCE I get them in place. I usually curse colorfully prior to the installation being complete. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
