I don't think we give out participation trophies. But if you don't win you can appeal the results, blame it on the FBI or the Russians.

Hey, we can all gather on the 86 bridge and shut down traffic while we protest that we didn't win. Heck, we might even march to Golden. Or at least up the hill to L&L Quik Stop.

Hey, you guys are right, it could be just like the election. I could go out and catch the most fish and dominate the day, but if I didn't catch the fish that the rules say matter, I'd lose! 

Just like the popular vote and electoral college!

I think I could probably get a Saudi friend of mine to kick in 20 - 30 million to back me if I decided to enter.  It wouldn't guarantee me the win but I could sure get all over the papers and fill up a lot of TV time in southern Missouri/Northern Arkansas prior to take off!

And just think of all the negative ad stuff I could run dragging Champ through the mud prior to the event!  (Some of you might have already heard the stories about the fish body parts he sometimes grabs while landing them) 

 Sadly, some OA "stars" think that they can get away with that kind of behavior you know?

Sorry, Donna, if you get a little on you along the way but that's what happens when you so closely align yourself with a known cheater that constantly lies about how many fish he catches, where he catches them and what he uses to catch them.

Heck, I might even organize a boycott of all that great wintertime outdoor wear that you promote around here!

Lol, ok guys. I'm gonna wave the white flag here. I derailed the topic, and we had some fun, but let's get back on the fishing subject. I do appreciate the fact that we can have a laugh about politics and be grownups about it. Hopefully polite, civil discourse and humor will find its way back when it comes to politics, but for now let's get back to fishing...

now I'm gonna go check AnglerSpy and see what this cold snap has done to the water temps...good luck to all who are fishing today!
